The Beach Birds card game consists of 48 cards - 4 sets of 12 designs depicting different native Australian birds commonly found beaches, estuaries and other coastal areas. The cards come in a sturdy 2 piece box.

Included are instructions on how to play a number of different games, such as Go Fish (Go Birding!), snap and memory games, as well as encouraging players to invent their own games with the cards. There are also 4 info cards with details about each bird.

Birds included in this game - Silver Gull, Crested Tern, Hooded Plover, Eastern Curlew, Pied Cormorant, Pied Oystercatcher, Masked Lapwing, Red-necked Stint, Pacific Gull, White-bellied Sea Eagle, Bar-tailed Godwit and Beach Stone-curlew. 

The cards are a large size, measuring 9 x 13cm. 

The illustrations are all created from dry point etchings which have been hand coloured with watercolour paints.
