A late 1800’s piece of Railroad history, the Fettlers were in charge of maintaining the railway irons, and making sure they helped the locomotives run appropriately. The jackets had to be made tough to withstand storms and weather. We have done ours in a 100% tightly woven canvas cotton which has the ability to be waxed. It is a 400 gsm weight jacket, making it on the lighter side of heavier comparative coats, however due to the weaving structure we found the 400 offered high protection, high mobility and less density in packing. It features two inside pockets great for storage of a wallet or phone, as well as a singular outside pocket. It has a storm collar for those especially cold days, with a button strap across the neck. Perfect for the outdoorsman and great for layering.
