Hunter Tools are designed to enhance the life and quality of your Hunter Candles. No self-respecting candle enthusiast should find themselves without this sleek trio in their repertoire.
WICK TRIMMERS
These curiously-shaped scissors can be used with candles of all sizes. By simply snipping the excess wick, you enable a more stable candle burn. In addition, you’ll experience:
- A clean burn, avoiding dark smoke
- A clean glass, avoiding smoky candle jars
- Ample fragrance diffusion, for a more expansive scent experience
- A safer burn (a longer wick creates a higher flame, which can be dangerous)
- The prevention of wick mushrooming Snip the excess (the ‘bent’) part of your wick when the candle is at room temperature, either before or after burning.
Do not snip when the candle is lit. Avoid cutting too short, as your wick will drown.
SNUFFER
An unsung hero in any candle care kit, a snuffer can dramatically influence the life and performance of your candle. When blowing on a candle to extinguish it, your force can cause the wick to move around in the molten wax, resulting in an uneven burn.
You may also splash molten wax over your candle, or experience excess smoke and wick smouldering. Reserve the blowing out for birthdays, and instead use our snuffer to gently extinguish your wick.
WICK DIPPER
By gently dipping your wick into the molten wax after your candle has been snuffed, you’ll be able to continue enjoying a diffused scent without the interference of smoke and smouldering.
This light layer of wax that forms over the wick will help protect it until the next burn - simply use your wick dipper to retrieve and straighten it out.
Thoughtful use of a wick dipper will help keep your candles at their box-fresh best before and after each burn.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
To maintain the integrity of your tools, simply clean under warm water and dry them in preparation for next use.
Your tools will come beautifully presented in a Hunter Candles calico storage bag. This bag is machine washable for convenience, and can be reused whenever inspiration strikes.
